Technical Project Manager
The Technical Project Manager at Covenant plays a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects across the enterprise. This role involves full ownership of project lifecycles, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the defined scope and business objectives. The Technical Project Manager is expected to proactively manage resources, risks, and stakeholders, while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. They will act as the primary driver of project success, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align efforts, resolve challenges, and ensure that both technical and business requirements are met effectively. This position requires a results-driven leader who can navigate complexities, prioritize competing demands, and deliver impactful solutions that support the company's strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Defines and organizes project scope, deliverables, roles, and task dependencies in collaboration with stakeholders, utilizing detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Maintains strong communication channels with stakeholders, ensuring timely updates on project status and proactively escalating risks, issues, or changes to drive resolution.
- Defines, acquires, and allocates budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish goals and objectives while monitoring performance across resource channels.
- Designs and implements processes to monitor and control resources, budget, risks, and value to business objectives.
- Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the program and project lifecycle, ensuring all required products are produced and reviewed, including technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, and sustainment.
- Leads and motivates cross-functional teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and holding regular team meetings to address challenges, ensure alignment with business objectives, and maintain focus on milestones and deliverables.
- Maintains a deep understanding of relevant technical systems and tools, ensuring feasibility and alignment with organizational technology strategy.
- Drives process improvements by analyzing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned to enhance future performance (may lean on the Continuous Improvement team to accomplish this).
- Establishes and maintains robust documentation and change management processes, ensuring that scope, decisions, risks, and key updates are captured and communicated effectively to drive project continuity.

- Business acumen and understanding of ROI and Strategic Investment.

- Great communicator ensuring each team member understands their role.
- Experience in working collaboratively with technical, operational, and business teams to achieve shared goals
- Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to guide project execution
- Excellent Team Management and Forming Skills.
- Technical feasibility and understanding of Covenant Application portfolio.
- Decisive negotiator driving to Minimum Viable scope delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience managing a combination of technology-focused and enterprise business projects, demonstrating expertise in overseeing diverse initiatives that bridge technical and organizational objectives.
Competitive Compensation
Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $72,155.20-$124,342.40
Pay Grade: 11
