Billing Manager
The Billing Manager will be responsible for accomplishing Billing and Payroll Support department objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members. The role will also be responsible for billing customers on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and acting as backup to Billing Specialists as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure team’s accuracy in invoicing customers
- Ensure all customers are billed by Friday of each week following prior week's activity
- Responsible for quarterly audit samples and ensuring we have documentation for each
- Responsible for providing an update weekly on any billing issues
- Responsible for communication of any monthly accruals to Director of Revenue and/or Senior Revenue Accountant for items that could not be billed at the end of the month
- Responsible for attending any new business start-up calls to ensure an understanding of the customer expectations around billing
- Responsible for ensuring that all customers are billed according to contract
- Keep unassigned accounts at a minimum and ensure billing specialists are not over extended
- Assist in training new team members
- Work closely with other departments as needed to ensure that all customer billing requirements are met
- Represent billing team in meetings with leaders
- Draft and distribute weekly reports of billing specialists KPIs
- Prepare weekly fuel invoices for payment by A/P
- Recognize billable fuel transactions and distribute fuel reports to Billing Specialists for billing.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required. One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for every year of education required.
- 5+ years’ experience in billing in the logistics industry required.
- 3+ years’ experience in payroll required.

- Pay Range: $56,147.00-$88,833.00
- Pay Grade: 9
