Transportation Account Manager I
The Transportation Account Manager I manages day-to-day customer interactions for assigned transportation accounts or account segments, facilitates and escalates complex conversations, and ensures operational follow-through that protects both customer satisfaction and company performance. This role serves as a trusted extension of the managed transportation team, owning execution, issue resolution, and customer management
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned customers or customer segments.
- Facilitate customer conversations related to service performance, capacity challenges, exceptions, and operational changes.
- Negotiate customer-specific solutions and adjustments.
- Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, calls, and on-site visits.
- Identify issues that require leadership involvement and escalate appropriately with clear context and recommendations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members to manage tasks, ensure execution, and close loops on assigned work.
- Monitor daily operational activity for assigned accounts and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Partner closely with Transportation Account Managers to support account strategy, customer satisfaction, and performance outcomes.
- Participate in customer meetings and site visits as needed to support relationships and operational needs
- Ensure accurate documentation, communication, and follow-through on customer commitments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to manage difficult or sensitive conversations.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate independently.
- Understanding of transportation, logistics operations, and customer account dynamics.
- Ability to balance customer needs with business priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable coordinating work across teams and holding others accountable to deliverables. Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- 2+ years of logistics experience required.

- Pay Range: $56,146.95-$88,833.12
