Legal Administration Specialist
The team member will provide support to the Sr. Director of Contract Administration and in-house Legal Counsel and will be directly responsible for managing a high volume of projects for multiple affiliated companies working both cooperatively and independently to review and analyze business terms and legal obligations on behalf of the company enterprise in the following areas: transportation and logistics contracting, government contracting, warehousing, suppler-vendor and software license contracting, real estate matters, mergers and acquisitions, corporate subsidiary administration, insurance certificate compliance, government agency registrations, and general legal services.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents and contracts to meet business specifications.
- Perform comprehensive review of legal documents and contracts received from external parties.
- Analyze business terms and legal obligations and provide an evaluation summary to management and executives.
- Communicate directly with external parties to negotiate new and existing business terms.
- Ensure that internal policies are followed to obtain necessary approvals by authorized parties.
- Organize and maintain electronic file contents.
- Track high volume of new projects.
- Run status reports and send inquiries to internal and external parties to maintain workflow.
- Record sufficient details and required data in contract management system to generate accurate and detailed reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for executives, and as requested by departments.
- Cross train to accommodate business and workflow needs.
- Follow established processes and take initiative to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office/365.
- Advanced knowledge in one or more areas of general business, legal terminology, insurance or the transportation industry.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to perform administrative functions in various software.
- Ability to track and monitor a high volume of correspondence.
- Ability to utilize contract management software and become a proficient licensed administrator.
Education/Experience
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working in general business environment or transportation industry required.

- Pay Range: $49,657.00-$77,924.00
