Night Driver Support Manager

Chattanooga, TN

Management of the nightly operations of the Triage I team in Driver Support to increase equipment utilization, maintain a strong level of productivity and control costs.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day to day operation of the Night Triage I Team members
  • Communicating with other depratments with in the organization for support for their daily operations
  • Assist in hiring, training, positive reinforcement, motivation, and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities to grow and advance to Triage II Tier Level.
  • Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties.
  • ⁠Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures, to include remote employees.
  • Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Logistics Group.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Time and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows based program applications. 
  • Vehicle mechanical knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple, sometimes competing, priorities within deadlines.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of industry related experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred.

  • Expected Pay Range: $64,535.00-$73,408.20
  • Full Pay Range: $64,535.00-$101,270.00
  • Pay Grade: 10
