General Parts Manager
The General Parts Manager will oversee the parts purchasing process and approve purchases for all assigned shops as well as oversee the day-to-day operation of those assigned shops.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts in all assigned shops
- Responsible for insuring each shop location stocks adequate inventory.
- Responsible for insuring parts purchased meet warranty guidelines set by truck manufacturers.
- Issue purchase orders, approve, adjust or deny PO requests from all assigned shops.
- Process all parts related invoices for payment.
- Schedule quarterly inventories for assigned shops.
- Ensure all assigned locations perform quarterly inventories.
- Submit monthly inventory value reports to accounting. Set
- Set parts department employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage to support the assigned shops
- Handle employee corrective counseling up to and including terminations.
- Interview and hire employees when openings occur.
- Perform team member evaluations
- Work with vendors on missing, overstock, returns, and damaged parts.
- Request and take quotes from vendors for parts and supplies.
- Ensure that the parts department operates in a safe manner and is compliant with all company rules and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to correctly identify parts and have a working knowledge of VMRS systems.
- Must be proficient with computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Ability to understand, communicate, read and write the English language.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of leadership experience required.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.
- Expected Pay Range: $72,155.20-$82,971.20
- Full Pay Range: $72,155.20-$118,120.00
- Pay Grade: 11
