Vice President, Operations

The VP, Operations provides leadership to our operations teams and enables deeper customer relationships. The Vice President will serve multiple site single customers or a subset of the accounts in a specific area(s).   It enables Directors to expand their areas and develop key talent for succession.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing multiple customer account relationships with up to $100 million plus in revenue.
  • Responsible to serve as a focal point for customer issues, rectifying and mitigating customer issues to achieve high customer satisfaction levels and develop customer solutions. 
  • Responsible for project management and implementation of strategic initiatives. 
  • Challenge is to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, lower costs, increase productivity and customer value.
  • Responsible for P&L accountability, operations management, and maintain consistent, high-level operating metrics and service levels across multiple locations

Qualifications

  • Transportation or logistics operational management (5 years) 
  •  Multiple facility management 
  • Fleet management (150 power units) 
  • Process management 
  • Implemented strategic initiatives 
  • Project management 
  • Maintained consistent, high-level operating metrics and service levels across multiple locations Demonstrated process improvements 
  • Customer issue resolution 
  • Proactively involved with business development and customer relations 
  • P&L accountability 
  • Supervised, hired, promoted, coached, and developed drivers and non-driver personnel 
  • Implemented driver retention strategies
  •  BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or Logistics or related experience.
  • 7-10 years of Operational Management Experience
  • 3+ Years experience in an executive position within a corporate setting
  • Sigma or other quality certifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. 

Pay Range: $125,696.49-$213,684.03 

Pay Grade: 15
