Inventory Control Supervisor

Bloomington, CA

The purpose of the Inventory Control Supervisor position is to manage all aspects associated with inventory & quality to include daily functional inventory moves, cycle counts, quality holds, samples, recall, and discrepancy reconciliation.

Responsibilities

A. Inventory parts in all warehouse storage areas. Have inventory completed by last Friday of second to last week of each month.

  • Post Inventory
  • Create second count sheets/ do recounts
  • Do research
  • Communications
  • Turn in Adjustments
  • Keep log on miss counts
  • Delegate workflow to the floor
  • Keep daily updates for all metrics

B. Assist Operations Supervisor to Ensure; Building Safety & Planning

  • Ensure all Safety documents are signed off on and all safety procedures are followed
  • All PPE are in place and used as instructed
  • Ensure lifts are signed out and inspected
  • Receiving of product-Colgate SAP operating systems
  • Data Entry, metrics updates, tracking sheets updates as needed

C. Assist Operations Supervisor to Ensure; Labor Planning

  • Plan labor to follow production or customer needs
  • Utilize labor for VAS (value added services)
  • Remove excessive labor for profitability and efficiency
  • Track and train associates to maximize utilization
  • Assist in retention and turnover
  • Backup to inventory control tasks

D. Work Closely with the Operations Supervisor to Support Staff Development by Cross Training/On-Job Training

  • Conduct daily start up meetings, present daily plan, and provide updates
  • Train, motivate and assist in the development and growth of employees
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement program
  • Challenge employees to be more productive

E. Support and assist the Operations Supervisor Implement Productivity Improvements

  • Study processes using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S Methodology to improve processes and eliminate waste
  • Improve processes when possible and implement them as new standards.

Qualifications 

  • Ability to read, write and document work on a computer or paper in high trafficked and loud environments
  • Ability to perform work in a color-coded, numerical, and highly organized environment
  • Excellent communication skills; in person, or by computer, telephone, 2-way radio, cell phone
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work well with and manage a team
  • Know or be able to learn WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and customer ERP if necessary
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 365)
  • Knowledge of SAP or the ability to learn systems as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Leadership experience, preferred
  • Food grade facility experience, a plus
  • Warehouse leadership, a plus
  • Forklift license, a plus
  • SAP experience, a plus

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. 

Pay Range: $70,116.80-$79,747.20

Pay Grade: 8
