Director of Operations
The Director, Operations oversees the management of execution, direction, coordination, and development of distribution services offered to each of our customer relationships. This includes developing and managing budgets, assisting in new business sales, and pricing, employee development, implementation and project management, system administration, warehouse management, and assistance in customer growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and manages key KPIs, internal and external, that can be measured and monitored to determine success.
- Identify and record performance measurements to align with customers’ goals and/or needs.
- Provide format for recording measurements and monitor as needed to reach goals.
- Add or remove goals challenging the operation to better serve the customer.
- Proactively managed customer objectives to achieve customer retention and produce opportunity for continued growth.
- Cultivate strong business relationships with customers by providing data supported analytics to direct clear understanding of current situation and drive information to support CI opportunities.
- Conduct current operational best practices reviews to assist in innovative development and CI.
- Assist with contract renewal and pricing.
- Manage employee talent pool and assist site managers with development/mentoring opportunities.
- Hold team accountable for execution of internal and external commitments.
- Review and interact with sales team to drive business unit growth.
- Responsible for Carrier procurement and Carrier Management
- Create a culture of continuous quality improvement and maintain reporting of improvement actions.
- Provide annual budget for management review.
- Monitor P&L monthly and make necessary adjustments to sustain profitability.
- Assist with the analytics, design, and implementation/onboarding of new accounts.
- Assist with implementation of productivity improvements (Six Sigma, 5S)
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of distribution services, automation, and value-added services.
- Good negotiation skills and contracting/procurement experience.
- Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking skills, ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office: WMS, LMS, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access
- B.A. or equivalent related experience in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or Logistics
- Minimum 5 years of related experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Corporate Office setting
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience.

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $91,998.40-$153,504
Pay Grade: 13
