Hours of Service Supervisor
The Hours-of-Service Supervisor has direct oversight over the hours-of-service team. This position is responsible for ensuring all hours-of-service issues related to the drivers within the fleet are addressed and completed while adhering to Covenant standard operating procedures, as well as maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state DOT and other regulations. They are also responsible for ensuring all goals and KPIS are met consistently for the team and problems are resolved as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring all work is completed and addressing issues related to workflow.
- Supervise the HOS compliance team, providing direction and support.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members.
- Conduct performance reviews for HOS staff, set goals, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive & collaborative work environment.
- Update Safety reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Update KPI’s.
- Oversee daily operations with personnel issues and training.
- Must adhere to all FMCSR requirements and Company Policies set forth.
- Ability to learn other functions and backup others.
- Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly performance goals.
- Attending meetings as required
- Execute new workflow processes.
- Manages all reporting functions related to the job, along with managing driver expirations.
- Ensures the completion of accurate reviews.
- Audit all applicable areas to ensure employee adherence to Company Policies.
- Become trained in reasonable suspicion.
- Investigates all possibilities for improvement within the fleet, enterprise, and industry.
- Collaborates with peers throughout departments in the enterprise, to determine needs and areas of improvement and help drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple task and projects at one time.
- Detail oriented and accurate data entry skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or similar field required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- 2+ years transportation industry experience required, preferably in a Safety setting.
- Prior supervisory experience a plus.

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $49,649.60-77,923.79
Pay Grade: 8
