Special Teams Coordinator

Chattanooga, TN

The Special Teams Coordinator is responsible gathering, analyzing, and formatting data in support of business requirements associated with special teams. The role will also plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business practices and training.  This role is responsible for optimizing our OO/LP network to enhance satisfaction of our professional drivers, generating opportunities for operational improvements to our Contract pipeline process, and directly contributes to accomplishing budgetary goals for the OO/LP division.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver reports.
  • Develop models and reporting structure that identify costs and a baseline for action.
  • Perform cost-benefits and ROI analyses to aid management in making future business decisions.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified or new systems.
  • Review and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of exiting systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • ⁠Assist management in developing and reviewing P&Ls and other presentations.
  • Provide general support and guidance to management team.
  • Collaborate other departments.
  • Help management implement new policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Generate interest in the OO/LP program and AAT opportunities with current drivers by introducing them to it and informing them about it.
  • Maintain reports on special teams’ pipeline status and targets.
  • Work with management in multiple departments to ensure driver qualifications for the program.
  • Work with TEL and the driver to confirm information and fill out the Operating Agreement and other various documentation to finalize the Operator’s contract.
  • Utilize applicable technologies to set up and send the documentation to be signed by the Operator and management.
  • Keep careful record of where each Operator is in the signing process and what documentation is still needed.
  • Provide assistance when necessary to operators setting up insurance through the provider’s website.
  • Communicate with various departments to ensure that the Operator’s truck is equipped with the proper plates, permits, best pass, etc.
  • Uphold high levels of data integrity within various systems and platforms.

  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in Microsoft Suite required. 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field required. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
  • 2+ years of Logistics experience required.
  • Experience with DOMO or other data analytics/visualization software preferred.
