Parts Specialist II

Springdale, AR

As a Parts Specialist II you will be responsible for handling all areas of the parts department. This includes working with shop personnel to obtain all parts for repairs from our vendor partners, and keeping up with inventory of those areas.   

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing daily cycle count of inventory from assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for notifying manager when an inventory discrepancy is identified.
  • Responsible for stocking of inventory in assigned bin as it is received from vendor.
  • Responsible for taking old parts from technician to confirm warranty tag is attached and turn part over to warranty department.
  • Issue parts to technicians as required.
  • Correctly charge parts to repair order as parts are issued to mechanic.
  • Look up parts in inventory system to identify bin location.
  • Communicate with work with our professional drivers and vendors in a professional manner at all times.
  • Keep work area clean, neat and organized.
  • Charge parts to correct section before parts are handed out.
  • Navigate vendor systems to obtain part numbers.
  • Create parts order request and attach ordered parts to repair order.
  • Update special order tracking sheet as special order po request is being made.
  • Remove unused returned parts from repair order as the parts are returned to the parts room.
  • Maintain accurate daily cycle count for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Check stock orders in and place stock in assigned bins.
  • Obtain key codes and cut keys for all truck makes.
  • Fill parts requests including charging and delivering parts to technicians.
  • Transfer inventory out from current shop and into another shops inventory
  • Pack and ship parts, warranty parts including proper documentation, and utilizing the UPS website to set up shipments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to understand, communicate, read and write the English language.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Ability to correctly identify parts and have working knowledge of VRMS system.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck in a safe manner after obtaining a forklift license thru company’s program.
  • Ability to meet all Requirements for Level 1 Parts Specialist

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License
