Business Analyst I
The Business Analyst will provide analytical & administrative support to Highway Services Sales Representatives and coordinate pricing activities across sales, operations and capacity management teams. They will gather & analyze data in support of business and customer requirements and execute contract freight pricing while providing analytical feedback and direction. The person will utilize analytical tools and technology to drive bid optimization across multiple business units. The role is responsible for providing formal responses to assigned business opportunities as well as planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient business, financial, and operations processes in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and communicate reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential problem or opportunity areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and other business software—Excel, Outlook, Word, Salesforce…
- Research and recommend contract rates for new business based on current market conditions, cost structure and internal benchmarking considerations.
- Analyze new and existing business opportunities across the organization.
- Utilize external FreightWaves and DAT data to keep abreast of market conditions.
- Prepare quarterly, annual or customer-driven or contract/bid-driven business reviews by account.
- Working knowledge of other business units across the organization to promote cross-selling opportunities to other operating divisions.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Results oriented and ability to work alone or with a team as needed.
- Experience with Appian or Paradox routing and scheduling software a plus.
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Business Administration, Finance or Supply Chain Management required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for every year of education required.
- 2-3+ years of related experience preferred.
- Previous experience with a Logistics role preferred.
