General Manager, Dedicated Implementation

Chattanooga, TN

The General Manager, Dedicated Implementation will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of new business startups for DCC operations in a customer-focused manner by coordinating all start up activities both internal and external.  

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary owner/facilitator of implementation- Creating and Executing an Implementation Plan for new business Start Ups
  • Responsible for execution on day one until the operation is fully up and running at a high-quality level with documented KPI’s required by the customer.
  • Work with new customers to understand their business while training new fleet/account managers on Covenant systems.
  • Assist in coaching/mentoring a group of experienced drivers and operation leaders
  • Assist in all operations, startup related tasks through the planning and implementation process until the operation is running handed off to the locally assigned team.
  • Achieve specific customer service and key company goals while managing high-value client relationships.   
  • ⁠Implementation project management -Actively manages project plans, expectations, progress and risks utilizing project management methods and professional acumen.
  • Responsible for Customer Engagement throughout the implementation process and transition period
  • Manage start up budget
  • When not actively involved in an implementation project, actively work on operations improvement as indicated by Director, VP, SVP, or EVP of Dedicated Operations.
  • Operational improvement and oversight.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
  • Promote and support safety 1st culture.
  • Oversee payroll, billing, and compliance during start up implementation.

  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Education/Experience

  • B.A. or equivalent in finance or Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration or related area or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of Project Management, CI, or Operations experience.
  • 5+ years of Transportation Operations experience
  • AS400 experience is preferred but not required.

  • Pay Range: $72,155.00-$118,120.00
