Senior Integration Specialist
The Senior Integration Specialist ensures successful deployment of technology solutions by working with business and technology stakeholders to define clear business requirements for assigned projects. Integration Specialist will take the technical and vendor management ownership of all integrations between Covenant and its customers, vendors, or business partners to ensure a secure, efficient and scalable path for all data integrations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with business and IT partners to analyze and define the requirements for technical solutions to meet business needs.
- Coordinate with integration team to design and document all software integrations for and design solutions with third party vendors.
- Participate in and/or lead the planning of integration projects.
- Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions within the organization’s architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
- Provide integration environment technical knowledge and experience during the planning, execution, and management of integrating new applications into new and existing application environments.
- Identify and resolve system integration issues.
- Assist with problem determination and resolution efforts when operational issues with integration solutions arise.
- Develop standards, processes, and documents to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
- Research and make recommendations on integration of products and services.
- Develop an understanding of existing and new administrative software systems.
- Build relationships with vendors of application software deployed in the organization to both learn about and provide feedback on their technical integration capabilities.
- Continually develop skills in the integration technologies in place in the AI environment, as well as staying informed on new developments in integration technology.
- Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions of integration systems.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
- Manage data hygiene for all administrative application systems.
- Assess existing workflow and procedures to identify and remedy sources of downstream data inconsistencies.
- Where necessary, provide guidance to other team members related to best practice for secure, sustainable, and scalable integration practices
- Provide timely communications within the agreed upon cadence and content of project initiatives and statuses with minimal follow up required to stakeholders, IT management, and PMO.
- Understand how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other, including but not limited to EDI, API, web services, file transfer and database access
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability.
- Extensive knowledge of relational database design and management techniques, especially with Microsoft SQL Server
- Confidence in working with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
- Knowledge of securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods.
- Knowledge of business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as Visio, Lucid Charts, or other diagramming or flowcharting software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret various integration formats and documents, including but not limited to: Swagger, CSV, JSON, XML, Plain Text (Flat Files), X12, WSDL
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and law.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science or similar field required. 1 year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with information technology concepts, business analytics, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required.
- Experience working with B2B Integration is required.
- Experience in designing and implementing integrations for an IPAAS for both API and EDI required.
- Transportation experience preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Integration and Security is preferred
- Dell Boomi Professional Integration Developer Certification is preferred
- Certified System Integration Specialist is preferred
- Direct, hands-on experience with automated integration tools, including Microsoft SQL Data Transformation Services, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, PowerShell, Transact SQL required.

- Pay Range: $82,256.00-$134,657.00
