Billing Support Specialist

Huntsville, AR

The Billing Support Specialist ensures that the invoices are prepared accurately and align with the driver's trip sheets to ensure accurate billing for our customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares weekly billing to customer based on manual trip sheets from driver, weight tickets, timecards, and other documents that are presented and responsible for ensuring that we have rate documentation approved by the customer and documentation around any quantities being billed.
  • ⁠Work with operations and sales on any missing documents for rate or quantities to obtain missing information.
  • Responsible for reconciling information from customers system to spreadsheets being created internally from driver documents and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Required to closely check that the numbers on customer weigh tickets, etc. tie back to customer provided reconciliation sheet.
  • Prints and prepares invoices, sends invoices electronically via email/EDI, handling billing questions from customers, and providing pertinent information to each customer (i.e., if they require certain numbers for processing, rates, and fuel rates, etc.) 
  • Keeps an ongoing spreadsheet of loads billed weekly versus errors occurring within the week. 
  • Meets the established Friday deadline for billing loads delivered the prior week.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of/ability to learn TMW.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education/Experience

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent.  Higher education a plus.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • 2+ years Billing or related experience required.
  • Transportation experience required.
  • TMW experience a plus.
