Broker-Weekend Shift
*The schedule for this role is Friday-Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm*
The Brokerage Representative is responsible for sourcing, pricing, and managing freight through the company’s brokerage operation. This role focuses on building relationships with customers and third-party carriers, negotiating rates, securing capacity, and ensuring on-time, compliant freight movement while maintaining high service standards.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure carrier capacity to book and ensure execution of committed freight on a spot basis and or in the short term.
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, customers, and third-party carriers.
- Source and secure freight opportunities that align with company profitability goals.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service expectations with customers and carriers.
- Match loads with qualified carriers and ensure proper documentation is obtained.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively resolving issues.
- Ensure carrier compliance with insurance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately enter and maintain load details in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Communicate shipment status updates to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Cultivate relationships with carriers to establish long-lasting partnerships and develop Solutions’ service area.
- Maintain knowledge of market conditions, lane pricing, and capacity trends

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business management required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- Logistics or transportation experience preferred.

- Pay Range: $17.00-$26.67
- Pay Grade: 5
