Driver Payroll Technician
The Driver Payroll Technician supports payroll operations by verifying information, addressing discrepancies, and upholding confidentiality while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and payroll practices. The position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate payroll records and supporting overall payroll efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, processes, and maintains payroll documents.
- Input, verify, and update pertinent information in the payroll system.
- Ensures payroll records are up to date with accurate data.
- Assists in resolving routine questions and problems.
- Escalates more complicated and complex issues to higher levels.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data, protecting sensitive organizational and personally identifiable information.
- Works through assigned checklist of tasks utilizing established procedures to ensure smooth and timely processing of payroll.
- Perform clerical tasks by entering driver pay and reviewing other payrolls.
- Responds to emails promptly and professionally.
- Provides excellent customer service for inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Researches and resolves driver payroll issues while working with Fleet Teams and Operations.
- Team member will cross train on multiple payroll systems and learn different types of drivers pay.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from professional drivers and other departments, resolving discrepancies or issues in person, over the phone, and via email.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Organized and effective under pressure and accountable for results.
- Self-motivated with sound reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- GED or equivalent required. higher education in accounting or finance preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service experience required.
- Previous payroll/accounting experience preferred.
- Previous transportation experience preferred.

Pay Range: $16.41-18.05
Pay Grade: 4
